Little story that is Roger Miller based. I used to frequent a little neighborhood beer tavern who had started doing Karaoke or however you spell it. I used to enjoy watching, not participating, mind you when a young man that I used to play pool with asked me why I hadn't gotten up. Wellll, that led to my only attempt at karaoke. After he had sort of badgered me, in a friendly way to go up and sing a tune I mentioned that I had never seen him up there and, thinking, incorrectly, that if I offered to go if he would. I was so wrong. Spent twenty minutes of browsing through the list to find the one, most appropriate song. "Dang me". I didn't get thrown out. That's all I want to say about that other than - at the age of forty, I got suckered by a 22 year-old. .
