Blues Frog has a good discussion going about basic vs fancy. I like both, but simple, old timey and half assed quirky suit me best.This is a fave in the simple and old timey category. I love this old box.

This is the only git I keep tuned to a higher CGC tuning. It plays and sounds good either acoustic or plugged in (hidden piezo). It does not get the playing time it deserves, because it is open C and I mostly sing and play in G.
