  • nice very flashy it must sound good in a lot of keys, with that octave drone i would love to hear it possible you do a vid ?
  • From a distance it looks like abalogney. (creative spelling!)
  • Yeah eric, it's a very rare ebony that only grows in Laos. You can never find over 15 or 20 pieces on sale at the same time(thats in the whole world).  Little piece long enough for finger board with high color contrast usually runs around $100.00. Get some with not much color for about a 1/3 of that. Ha, Ha, talking about getting nervous trying to make a fingerboard. Can't afford to mess up on that stuff. Wish I had a truck load of it, I'd just retire!
  • I've never seen this kind of Ebony, I used Red Ebony in the form of 1/8 ply to make HB's case for his guitar and I had never heard of that either. So many woods, so little time. Nice lookin' stuff man.
  • I agree Uncle John, that B&W ebony is amazing. It's hard as glass, had to use gloves when I sanded it down on bench sander because the wood heats up like griding on metal, gets so hot that you absolutely can not touch it with out getting burned. I honestly did not know there was any wood that would do that.

  • All beautiful, but the B&W ebony is SO FINE.
