I used a reproduction Bush radio as a starting point. I fitted a Guitar Fuel MAH5 amp and a Marshall 10 watt, 6" speaker. I also permanantly fitted a 12v 2.1 mah battery with charge points worked into the small brass breakout plate on the side. A Marshall amp handle, wood stain, wax and a set of rubber feet finished it off. The amp unit and speaker make this 1' high amp a real SCREAMER!

That turned out very nice, Tom. I've built a couple now using the MAH3 board and have been pretty pleased with the results. Looking forward to giving the MAH5 a go.
Thanks Scott. Yeah the MAH5 is a solid winner in my books. A tiny correction if I may, the volume pot on the MAH5 is also the on/off switch. The "OD" is another and the third is the tone.
I have to say, I really like the external MP3 input...make one heck of an iPod speaker! It's a great feature for playing along with fav songs. Haven't tried the headphone jack yet.
Damn sweet lookign amp...I use Guitar Fuel's MAH5 cirsuits too, and love em. I also build a simple LM386 IC circuit for smaller speakers (2-6 watt 8 ohms). The MAH5 is great becuase the on/off has the three settings (clean, rock, overdrive) and volume & tone pots. A bonus is to max the vol/tone on amp and, if your guitar has them, adjust vol & tone pots there to get even more sound variations. Can even use effects pedals too.

That looks great and I bet it sounds great with that speaker.
