uncovered,this pic shows how i added 2 soundpost to fit directly under the bridge to pick up vibrations from the back of the box also,the results are that it changed the tone and made it more clear and and gave it more volume.

    no man this is the first time i have tried this soundpost experiment. it would be easy to take the treble side post out to see what difference it would make.i have wanted to try it fer a while now but on a solid wood top and back box. i learned a cool sound post trick from an old fiddle builder in arkansas one time that just blew my mind the difference it made on what he told me.i built a few fiddles/violins back in the day.

    cool Brian, have you tried just one soundpost right under the end of the bridge on the bass side? are there other places that you have tried?
