Hi Uncle. Lucky you drove home. My clutch is fixed. It cost 925$. Ouch. Front end, then clutch. 2400$ total for the month. But I got the strings on this guy today. Sounds great. I’ll open her up for the piezo when it comes from Gitty soon. It’s easy to get the bow trouble Unc. Guits have low string height. Fiddles need a lot. You could shave some bow scoops in the edge. This new one clears good with no rub.
That looks great, Dave. Love the head stock scroll.
I am kind of feeling my way through the bowed instrument thing. I have a 2 string with a too fat body- I too often hit the body with the bow- and a 3 string that I am improving on, but the position - the fiddle, kind of slips away from me -off my shoulder. I am kind of planning one that will stay put and theoretically let me play better.
Did you get your car troubles sorted out yet? We drove off in our 17 Subaru yesterday and the battery light came on. I drove back home opened the hood, checked the battery terminals then noticed the serpentine belt had snaked right off the pulleys

It’s coming nice AGP. I played my Little Cello all evening at our SOLSTICE celebration yesterday. It was a gas! Great food and music day.
thanks Daniel. No fancy woodworking involved.
pretty.
Lovely Box Dave!, when finished, you will have every reason to be "Very Proud" of the "Pride of Cuba" :-)
