In the foreground is a magnet like the one I used in this pickup, just a cheap utility magnet from the Home Despot, with two thin pieces of wood super-glued on. I'm hoping the wide magnet, with the wide, flatish coil will give me a warmer sound than the other tall-narrow coils I've done.
