  • Thanks for all the kind comments. The whole idea was to keep these builds as simple as possible. The only real reason for using the cigar boxes is to have a place to mount the output jack, the pickup, and the volume control. I also personally like installing the tuners in the tailstock, as it keeps the look more streamlined. I also make pool cue diddley bows with the tuner in the tailstock and different style headstocks. Seems to keep the proportions looking right, at least in my eyes.

  • i had a go at a couple of these. trouble is. i put frets in the handle and used the head tother way round. cuting in frets is like playing with asbestos drove me nuts. yours is a better design by far. nice job ;)

  • Bought them at a garage sale in Michigan last summer. Dragged them all the way to Florida to make 'em sing.
