Paint Job ~ Dirty Thirty

I built Dirty Thirty with the license plate all rusty. Over time, I decided to paint it. I like it better and that is what counts.I redid the nut with a wide spaced thread screw. Dang, two of the strings buzzed. An easy fix was 2 small nails as string 'guides' above the nut.Not a lot of acoustic volume, but plays nice and sounds good acoustic or plugged in. Fretless and GDGB. I can use a slide and/or do some simple finger chords.

  • I agree on not cutting the old plates.

  • Oh yeah.  You re-found this one after the plate was painted and the 4 string conversion.  Yup on the prices of old plates.   I did cut into this one for the pup - but prefer not to cut the plates on the old ones.
