Glad it worked out, Del. Some times the fixing an tweaking takes a lot of effort. And sometimes -not often enough- they play great the minute they are strung up.
Couple of things. 1.) the Poplar neck started bowing... so I created some back angle by removing some of the internal neck material. I also ended up going with a smaller bridge bolt. 2.) I opted for my traditional "thru the neck" string mounts to increase the saddle break angle. Thank you Uncle John for your opinion - it really made the difference in the outcome.
Nicely built, Del! This reminds me of my 3rd build which also employed two f-holes. My original bridge was just a bolt, heeded Uncle John's similar feedback, end ended up with this. One of my favorites, currently on loan to a friend in Indiana.

Ahh. I've had that happen too. The strings are coming off the tailpiece pretty low. Can the tail piece or string holes go any lower?
I'm rethinking the bridge. i don't enough downward pressure and the strings are jumping out of their saddle grooves.
Great example, Gary.

yup
Nice work!
Great f holes and build. I only get critical when they are very good. The bridge looks like a 6 and the rest of the guitar is a near ten.
