Bought this old Dulcimer last year from a lady who was selling it for an old man who was liquidating his pawn shop. He collected instruments, but never played anything...it sat in his basement for 25 years before I bought it. Cost me $40 I didn't have, had to haul a load of garbage to pay for it! It was missing its bridge, so I made one up out of Peruvian Olive. Also the tuners are on backwards, but they seem to work OK- I restrung it so they tighten clockwise at least. This one's tuned DAd, and sounds real sweet. I have no idea what kind of wood it is.
