OPA Red Catbowl

Formerly an acoustic 4 string banjo.Hacked into a GDG electric.Old red OPA covering defunct tuner hole. OPA was Office of Price Administration. (USA WWII rationing tokens)Plays fair to good. Plugged sound is dirty. Seems right for this piece.

  • Thanks guys.  I think pickups sound warm and good there.  

    The truth is that it was retrofited and I just did it the easiest way.

  • Update:  Down at KC fest, I gave Justin Jensen his choice of 3 cbgs.   He chose this one.  That was on Sunday.  On Tuesday, Justin played on a riverboat in Omaha.   I got to attend and sit with Maddog, Janet (Mrs. Maddog) and Nikki.   Justin put on a great show and played this git and a couple of Maddog's.
