    A.D. - the tuners are modern 3 in a row for acoustic guitar that I bought off eBay . They are open style and rather better quality than the usual far east product. I bought 'em about 3 years ago and never seen any since.

     Did you use a sheet metal brake to make the retainer? Very nice headstock. I love walnut.

    Yes I did. 18 gauge brass sheet cut, shaped and drilled.
