Okay, the fretting. I like to play boogie stuff on the middle string. So besides open and hitting the middle string at the second - the boogie note- of course I use a finger bar at the 5th or 7th quite a lot and the middle string boogie note 2 frets below those..... So, by skipping the 6th and 8th frets, this makes it easier to play that shuffle or boogie style. I almost never seem to miss those frets. If in doubt about what I mean, my video Mercury Blues (and some others) might demonstrate.

Thanks Darren. Had a problem with string pressure denting in the saddle area. Bolstered it underneath and back in business.
