I just finished this custom silverware chest for a friend. It's maple and cherry and has custom fitted compartmentalized space for their antique silverware. The lower drawer holds the knives, with a separate tray for butter knives and pickle tongs. The middle tray holds all the forks and spoons, and the top lidded compartment is for ladles, serving spoons, cake server, et al. For those who know my story, you know I never would have attempted something like this if I hadn't discovered this site.And now, back to our regularly scheduled program......

That looks beautiful, but the last thing that I want getting out is the fact that we could end up making something practical for the home. I would never get to make another CBG if my wife thought for a minute that all the jibber-jabber on here could lead to something that nice.
