This is build #2 for me. The neck is maple and the fretboard is indian rosewood. I had 2 Brick House cigar boxes to work with so I made a "practice" cbu for my Dad, which is technically the first. This one I made for my boyfriend who is a blues guitar player (Mighty Lester) and had mentioned in passing that he wanted a uke to play around with. I've never made an instrument before but as I was shopping for a uke online somehow I ran across some old CBG plans and I was hooked. CBN and other sites (C.B.Gitty, YouTube!) were so helpful with lots of good tips and tricks and different ways of doing things. I think it came out pretty well, surprised him with it for Christmas. :) Can't wait to make another one!

Beautiful work. If that's only your second build then I'm curious to know where you developed your skills.
Sweet! I love the Brick House boxes. I have several that are awaiting their transformation.
That is really first rate. I have a Brickhouse waiting to be a tenor uke one day. Hope I do nearly as well as you did.
Absolutely beautiful! Excellent box choice! I'm a fan of Brick House boxes for instruments. Very nice build!
