Mine are never mistake free either, hey that's how you learn. Good news I was always able to fix the goofs. Built this one about 3 times to get it right. Never give up!
I like what you did with the sound holes. I wanted to do something like that on one of my recent guitars but just couldn't visualize it. Now I have an example!
Yes I did cut it too thin and it would not stay in tune. So I took it apart again and beefed up the neck all the way through. It worked. I bought the neck from gutty for 60 bucks. Won't do that again. Now I make my own.
