I am with Uncle John on this, in that I have a little battle in my head, cutting it, or finding something else to do with old or beautiful boxes. Just thinking out loud... Make it an effects box and leave it with no holes. Just lift the lid to access controls and cables? Might be possible to do this without modifying the box... Just thinking aloud... wife just got that worried look...
Could be a guitar too. It's getting hard for me to cut into some of these very cool old boxes. I think on this one, I would make a guitar with a player's side sound hole and try not to cut into the top. If a builder was really ambitious, he or she could make the headstock look violin like. Andries, always good to wait until inspiration comes.

I was thinking on a violin but then i have to cut of the Musicus 's Head ,and thats No nice perspectif, so im still geussing what to do ?
