Maddog ~ Dinner with Pat at the Driftwood

Linda and I had the pleasure of going to Maddog's (Pat's) steakhouse on the Missouri River north of Blair Nebraska. The geese were flying and honking, we saw cormorants, mallards, deer and an eagle.Got to go into Pat's playhouse/antiques and cbg house with a close overlook on the river and sample about a dozen gits. Good gits. The short scale tobacco tin he has posted photos of is a delight.Had really nice visit with Pat and a great dinner. One of the few best steaks I ever had. And I live in Iowa and have had some good farm fresh steaks!Pat is a big dude and a good guy. He is more of mellow and mildly disgruntled dog these days than a madddog. If you are ever within 50 miles of Blair Nebraska, a dinner outing at the Driftwood is the place to go.

    Happy belated B-Day Unc!

  • The gent in my avatar is a man by the name of John Johnston, he was the real life person for which the movie "Jeremiah Johnson" was based on. He is somewhat a Hero of mine.
