Lasst build for 2019. After I got finished with the Illinois guitar, I was itching for one more build. Definitely can put you in the holiday spirit. • Thanks, on the nail polish fret markers.  I hope to try it.

  • yea, Merry Christmas to all.  I learned of nail polish from a fella named Lupe on a FB website.  Just drill the hole and fill with polish.  I found that as the polish dries, it does shrink so it too several drops to get where I like it, flush with the wood.  If you get higher than the fretboard, when it is fully dried, just skim the top of the marker with a razor to make flush.  The neck is lightly painted, but I still used the teak oil finish over all the neck, did not effect the polish or the color of the neck.

I will do again. For something different especially when you might want a certain color. The nail polish I used when dried it looks like an abalone or similar color.  I will try posting a close up pic.

  • Love the look. NAIL POLISH FRET MARKERS!!
