My buddy remodeled the kitchen in his 87 year old house.I laminated the wooden lath strips and made these necks.These pictures show the progression from blank to nearlyfinished

    That's exactly how my plywood necks look. I agree, these should prove plenty strong for a CBG 3-4 stringer.Be fun to attmept a 6-banger to see if it holds up. Hmmm - we have Chuck Dubman's box testing rig...what about a neck testing rig? Be a pain to set up, though. Nice work.

    Good idea.  They look good from the back.  Ought to be strong.    Will need to get the front really smooth or add a finger board.
