It's all a matter of personal preference, so if you like your dobro spacing, you are right on target. Most of the 3 string folks use a IVI tuning like GDg or DAd and most will use a bit wider spacing. This may be due to Shane Speal's teaching vids where he uses wider spacing and a stubby slide that he uses on single strings as well as all three strings..
I do best on the IVI tunings with just a bit more space than you have. For finger fretting tunings, like DGB, I like narrower spacing - pretty close to where you are spaced.
Thanks for the compliments Uncle John. I'm curious about string spacing regarding your playing style. Do you prefer wider spacing for string bending, picking, slide? The spacing on this CBG is the same as a dobro I own but narrower than my electrics. What is the most popular spacing for CBGs?

thanks Uncle John. I think matching the color of the box with the head and tail worked well.
I'm doing a strummer the same way in red now.

Thanks.
That is a total beauty and a good photo too. String spacing looks a bit close for my playing style Just a striking git and an eye catcher.
