Since it appears to be a pretty sturdy box, and that bottom part of the neck extends nearly to the tail end of the box, I'm guessing it'll be OK. Maybe go with lighter gauge strings, just to help with lower tensions. I might be tempted to sand/file/rout the top neck board inside the box from about those middle screws (1/8" or a little more) to allow the box top to resonate a little more.....

thanks,i agree I will try thru neck on the next build this was built around a neck I had made years ago
well done. might have been better to extend the neck to the end of the box.
