Deco pup looks right at home, and I matched the knobs to the design on the ships sails. Bridge is home grown brass plate with individual strat saddles for total flexibility. 3 way runs to 2 piezos under the bridge. Ya know what I like about piezos under a metal bridge... no earth wire required :o)

  • Heh -- the neck wasn't even in my realm of possibilities, though now that I think about it, with a through neck I guess it's pretty likely to have some neck influence. I'm tending towards a metal bridge but worry it won't transfer enough acoustic vibration. On the other hand, it seems like a wood bridge would need some block beneath the cigar box surface for screws and/or glue, and it that would dampen movement of top. Maybe I'm making way too much of a comparison between CBGs and standard acoustics. At any rate, this looks like an excellent option.

  • i'm also assuming that the peizo is between the wood and the bridge....using the contact between the bridge and pup to earth the guitar....I just ground everything now, whether it needs it or not.
  • Either way will work, just don't do what I did and place it on the neck...lol...lots of funny noises while playing....well unless you remember to be able too access the inside after its built :)...just saying....
  • Pardon the beginner question here, but are the piezos between the brass and wood or on the inside of the box attached to the wood?
