  • Hey we could pitch this to the gang and get a million opinions, fun!

I suspect it might help with sustain... if it's beefy and screwed to the neck it can't allow vibration to wiggle off somewhere... I'm totally guessing myself. ;)

I'll find out when I get these new bridges and replace my old thinner ones. Same exact thing, except much thicker.

  • Not sure, I wouldn't think a heavier tailpiece would change things though as it has no bearing on the strings sound behind the bridge other than holding them where they need to be :-) I could be wrong though.......as I often am.

  • I like that heavy duty tailpiece too.

I'm having a machinist friend make me a couple to see if I get more sustain over the ones I can make.

    Does it help?

  • Thanks Danny!

  • I bet it screams.

I'm gonna make a fretless next. Got the odd 3 tunners left over and I see that's no problem either.

    Badass gitty.

  • Thanks Pick!

    Thanks Wes!

Thanks Jerry! Played it for a bit last night and it is indeed fun  ;-)
