Light you say. That is one of the things that give it better acoustic sound. A thin top doesnt hurt. This top will be on the thick side so it will probably be semi acoustic. Especially after I add pick guards, sound hole covers and a magnetic pickup. If you are building an acoustic lighter is better.

I will put a square non adjustable truss rod in it. Yes they are separate the two angle pieces make sure the neck are straight the other adjust the height and is support.

Are you going to use a truss rod on the neck
This looks good - so these are all separate pieces glued to the box?
