  • Yup, yup.  I have an open back mando made from a tambourine that sure sounds good.  Some times, especialy plugged in the thick tops will shine.
  • Yeah I know the top is thick but I came across a site that sells these modified piezo bridges, I have never seen one before but it makes a better tone than some of the usual CBG set-ups, so I am trying to learn how they make them to see if I can duplicate one or come close to it. The sound is kind of a deep acoustic sound with better sustain because of the piezo. Besides the back will remain open, but I thought of enclosing the sound hole area where the piezo is with wood or wood/metal combination to see if it will alter the sound in a positive way, I think some of the CBG's sound good with slides but lack something when playing chords/notes by picking or strumming.
  • Huh...  Pretty shape.  Top might be kind of thick.  Hope it works out.
