  • Yes they did and so did the bridge, grommets and pots and input jack. I priced it out comparing part and prices with guitar center, amazon, ebay, gitty and craiglist.

Cigar Box is from the local Cigar bar near my office
Neck is from ebay. (I was sold on the lighting bolt) I rework the frets. Some dead ones and the sides were sharp
    Humbucker came from amazon
Support wood for the body/neck came Lowes

  • Those control knob plates came from Gitty's did'nt they?
  • Yep ... I checked it out ... It's a nice Mini Humbucker! I bought that Narrow Field Humbucker on EBay called the Diesel Firehawk for $20 bucks instead of the genuine Wilkenson N.F. Which sells for $40.
  • @Richey Kay Yeah. I was originally planing on putting in the telecaster plate along with a single coil by the neck and the mini by the bridge, (with a Telecaster style humbucker bridge). but i changed it all to keep the box design.

Since the jack plates came 3 in a the order I re-purposed them. I don't really need to have them laying around. It's too temping to make another one just because I have spare parts.

  • It got it from Amazon. It was cheap. only about $19. It's not a Seymour Duncan, but for this guitar, it's perfect. I was planing on putting in a single coil by the neck and the mini by the bridge, (with a Telecaster style humbucker bridge) but the it would have completely blocked the the box design on the lid. I plan on making at least 3 to have different sounds. I just need to get the right box for each.

  • Are those jack plates under the knobs? Haven't seen any for pots before - looks cool!

  • Where did you buy the p/u? It just might be like you say... A mini humbucker? The narrow field (I think Wilkenson developed) it's a cross between a humbucker and a single coil. It has the warm tones of a humbucker and yet a little sting like the single coil... Just wondering.
  • I've never heard it called a narrow field but I guess it is. I've always called it a mini humbucker.

  • Is that a Narrow Field Humbucker pickup? If so ... I really like mine!
