Built this 1/4" thick old Aluminium vase beast a while back, it doesn't Resonate, BUT!, it does "Rock", If it were me!, I'd be using your bowl some sort of build :-D
Hard to answer. It does look cool. It probably has no other purpose. I say use it when the mood strikes and put a good mag pup on the git.
Given the dull thud, I would be hesitant to use it, myself. You really want as many parts as you can to have a ring to them.
It doesn't really ring when you hit it with your knuckles...more like a dull thud..it's 10 inches in diameter
This is solid aluminum. 1/8 in thick...weighs about two pounds...is it too heavy to use as resonator?
