  • what gary said ;-)

  • Nice build and nice pic!

  • "I like big holes and I can't deny..."

    (This could go bad quickly!)

  • It's has the best tone and volume of any of my builds to date. The Punch after dinner english market box has a thinner MDF top, but has enough real estate to put a bigger sound hole without compromising positioning of the fretboard and bridge. I've wanted to do a fender style f-hole for sometime, and this box really lets that size hole SING! Not a lot of guys are using scroll saws, which is a true shame because it can give your build a unique look that sets it apart from the crowd... and you can find a good used scroll saw for $30-$40.  The ukes are a lot of fun, especially if you go bolt on neck! It just gives it more of a genuine uke feel and sound, and it lets you have a little more of a challenge over through body builds.

  • Nice setting and uke.  BIG sound holes for a uke.  How does it sound?   I decided I want to make a concert uke.   I ordered some parts yesterday.   Might do a tin can reso.  Concert size.
