Thanks Jerry, Unc, and AGP#! Unc, a simple solution is to try a higher tuning, the increased pressure can get rid of buzzing. Another thing you could try is to make a wider bridge, the added surface may just be enough to kill the pest

My Washboard 3 has developed an annoying buzz in the small string. Seems to come from the washboard end - not the nut. One of these days I need to quit being annoyed and try to fix it.

Son of a gun. That was too easy. It is AEA and the buzz is gone. Thank you! It may be that I will try a slightly higher bridge at a later time.
