I had some math in my head one time too, Daniel.  I truly prefer my gits to be for use without worry of a scratch or tip over.

i'm on a roll, so I'll add this. I spent my life doing photography and printing, and learned this old rule.

The proper distance to view a painting or photo is the diagonal measurement of the piece. So.....a guitar's proper viewing distance would not be close. tried to do some math in my head, no luck.
