  • lol... I think dallas and fort worth are a little off here... nice way to present the info though.
  • Hmm, Hopkins was born, raised, and lived almost all hsi life in Third Ward, Houston (my neighborhood was in that ward). He would walk to and from clubs up and down Dowling street, busking along the way. I never met him, but did meet "Long Gone" Miles, who had been a kind of apprentice to him.
  • Thomas.... you are one blessed guy... anyone who has rubbed shoulders with some of the old blues men have something that can't be bought.

    Slidell? I did some recovery work after Katrina in Slidell with UMCOR and Habitat.... How you are all recovered and going good.

  • GREAT Map and historical info. THANXXXXXXXXXXXXX I had the pleasure of meeting Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown before he passed away a couple of years ago at the House of Blues in New Orleans. He used to live down the road from me when I lived in Slidell Louisiana... A lot of tallent from that small an area..... T
