    I like the side sound hole idea Uncle, The top art would not like a big hole in it. The side hole makes a good monitor for the player

    I’ve been using watercolor lately. Tube watercolor mixed thin washes on easily and dries in an hour or so. Light sanding then rub on varnish. I may dirty up the red with oil paint wash later. It’s not hobo colors yet. Needs a patina.
