    Thanks Daniel. A friend of mine grew and dried this one and some others he gave me. If you cut them this way you can get two instruments per gourd. The other half sitting there is destined to become a little matching mandolin. Kind of sloppy Sharpie position markers that I'll re do after my demonstration this weekend.

    Great stuff.  I need to make one of these sometime.  Where did you get the gourd?  Did you grow it yourself?
