Gluing the "transom" onto my triangular box.

Here you can see I used a combination of shipping tape and clamps to hold the box tightly together while the glue dries. The "bow" is the lower right hand corner, and the "transom" is the side opposite the bow (or the side between the two black clamps). Again I use a plastic bag to keep the glue on my work piece separate from my work surface. By the way, B&Q is what we have here in China that takes the place of Home Depot or Lowes in the States. I think it's a British company.

  • Yes, boat nomenclature. I didn't think of "bow" as used in the violin sense. Sorry for any confusion that may have had on you or other readers. It's just something that came to me building this triangular sound box. I used to sail boats in my youth. Wish now I was young again and could build a few.
