The two old acoustics are pretty rough and need glued back together, but I hope to repair the flag ship and convert it to a four string. If I try to make 'Amrica' a player, I will redo the top and leave the back just as it is.

Yup, Rev. He said they were plentiful. I am kind of redoing my little work shed- put in a second window, made a storage area, going to put up more shelves then clean up and organize. Then I won't feel like messing it up for a few days or more. But that red white and blue git is calling my name. I don't know how bad the neck is.
Unc, from what I know of Pick, he'll be OK with converting the Tulip to a 3-string, vs. a 4-string. I once asked the advice of you, Pick and Dave Lynas for how best to tune a 4-string. Pick suggested using a pair of dykes to cut the 4th string. Advice I've embraced over the years.....
Thanks, James. I am starting to research Teisco electric guitars. Pretty cool. Lots on ebay - many nice ones from $175 to $300. I asked Pick in a message if it was okay to modify what is left of this one to a 4 string. Will see what he says, he knows a lot about them. I think a lot of folks now aged 50 to 70 had them back in the day.

LOL. Thanks, Bjorn. I am not going to change the back on Amrica.
