  • What, you think I'm not a Dapper Dan man? Now I see that it's still made! Who knew - not me. I gotta get some to see how it actually works on wood but I'd still like to find an old rusty empty can.

  • I've actually been trying to find an old Dapper Dan can in antique stores. I wonder if it was an actual brand or something made up for the movie. I need to do research.

  • Jim, why would you have Dapper Dan on hand?

  • Thanks on both comments Unc. I forgot to add that the head is hand rubbed with Dapper Dan and buffed to a high gloss. The zero fret is how I make most instruments now. I've widened the wood string guide a bit since I've had some break off on the side. Thought about aluminum like on the old Danelectros but I like wood better.

  • Nice zero fret and guide too.  This is a good way to do fretted instruments.  I did it a while back, but not as well as you have done.

  • Very nice wood tones, but are you sure it is jen you wine?
