This picture sums up my past loves with my present loves. I recently recorded some jam inside the full pipe at a local skate park. stay tuned for the results.

I remember doing metal skates nailed to plywood board conversions back then, too! My younger brothers benefited from the first laminated cambered boards with big wheels and adjustable trucks in the early 70's.
Craig,
Kewl photo. We used to skate drained pools back before there were skate parks. Houston had basically no hills, but we still managed to build body length street boards with big wheels, towable behind cars.
Neat photo and nice to hear a little history. I bet the sound was great in there. I skate boarded back in the 60s and started with skate conversions then store boughts with metal wheels. No one I knew of was doing tricks back then, but we had fun just riding them.

We had HILLS in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Skateboarded down our street and a windy downhill path at a cemetery.
