  • On this headstock, you laminated only the top side, saving about 1/8" of space vertically so that your tuning post holes are plenty high for easy stringing. I also see that you added a truss rod, or is that a faux truss rod cover?  In either case, you need to pre-drill all you screw holes to prevent cracking when you screw the screws in. You should also either use pan headed screws or (what's the word I'm looking for?) use a larger drill bit on the face side of the truss rod cover plate, and turning the bit by hand to ream-out a conical shaped area to receive the heads of your wood screws. There's a word for that, but it escapes my memory right now. Otherwise, it's looking great!
