  • Thanks Lenny , but who's Steve ? hehe!!
  • Looks sharp Steve!
  • Thanks very much Ted , yeah thanks for the figure of 8 tip that would be better than reversing the polarity on the motor !
yeah it took a wile to make it but now i've used it i'm well pleased , so easy to wind now with the foot switch and i can sit down and wind , i had to stand up before when using the lathe to wind on did my back in !

i tried using a Digital tally counter but it could not keep up with the pace so i went back to the trusty mechanical one which never misses a beat - tried to find a reed type one but no luck with that - i'll keep looking
    Thanks Ted much appriciated mate

  • Thanks Paul , yes mate theres a mechanical counter which counts one count for every revolution - i used the counter before on my lathe - it's a four didgit counter made by Veeder root - look on ebay for Mechanical Tally Counter

  • Looking good man!
  • That's a beauty. Is there a counter that you can run the wire through to make it count. Like in a hardware store that well I guess that counts feet... Do you need to count the turns or can it be by how full it looks? I have lathe but no way of counting the revolutions.
