I think they shipped the manufacture overseas and really hurt the town and then eventually brought the work back. I wonder if they are still cooking...
Their website says they invented the first ever, who knows, but the patent was filed 1936, I'm sure these were not the first, but still way older than me at 62. Very strong, i crushed a piece of wood. Heres one shot of the company:
