  • thanks! I did a scenic art technique to build in the relic...after I did the 'sunburst stain' I used water based urethane brushed on and then shot it with solvent based urethane before it was cured --- then sanded/scuffed it with a green scrubby to make it look like it had gotten a crappy renovation varnish job about twenty years ago...I just wanted it to feel a little broken in and cob jobbed. Sure wish I could find real steel screws so I can let them oxidize and rust a bit --- the zinc/aluminum ones are just too bright and new even when scuffed up...
