Used an old back plate from a stratocaster, Dremel'd down to about where I wanted it. Bought a bass tuner for five bucks from the local music shop, the bottles were 99 cents each at Bed Bath & Beyond. Found the 2x4, nails, screws lying around... and the pickup was an extra from an old repair project.
