So... I drilled the sound holes where I wanted them.But on this small box, the saddle covered part of the sound hole. Phooey. But it sounds good.

I have a box like this. Beautiful vintage box! I’ve been saving mine for “good”. You could shorten your bridge to fit the sound hole.
