I've fretted, crap, I don't know. 30 or so. Most of them work well, but I don't like anybody looking too close. Yup, on what Jerry said. Except the old paper back book thing - but that sounds like a good idea too. I've been known to get my frets out of square now and then. That build looks pretty good. Dulcimer fretting. Take a break and then try one again.
Looks good.,! when I first started fretting the hardest part was finding the right width saw blade lying around the house.,.,and fret position.,.,then fret leveling.,., Once you have the right saw, good fret positions, whether by calculation or template ( I prefer template ) , and a little practice it's not so bad.,.,I still level my frets with a fine mill file, and polish'em up with sandpaper wrapped around an old paperback book.,.,
