I think this will be my standard head. Pretty easy to do. Aluminum nut set up for slide. Need to make a nut/bridge set for picking/sliding.

    The ABS rod came from my plastic welding kit.  You can get ABS rods from Harbor Freight pretty cheap.  Drill a 1/8" (or whatever your diameter rod is) hole, put a little ca in it, and slide rod in.  Trim off with a razor blade and your done!

    Thanks dawg!  I get a few comments on it.  I forgot to mention that the side/slide markers are white ABS.  Boy that was sure easy and it's much more functional to me.
