Hey, Jef, how the hell are you? Where have you been hiding, I haven't heard a word from you? Thanks my friend for the b-day greeting . . . old goat? q;-) . What are you building? I know you're playing, and well too!
Thanks for the comments. The 0038 (Hemingway) is my first build, and the reso is later down the pike. The reso has a raw and gutteral sound that I really like, especially for blues. I didn't know what to expect, and like all other builds, I never know what sound I'll get until I light it up, but I'm happy.
Have you given thought to creating simple chord charts to share with those of us musically challenged? I tune my gits G-D-g and then stumble around the fingerboard until I get a sound that I like. This works well with slide and picking, but it's a pain otherwise . . . help!
Ya, we're old! I turned 70 yesterday, but I don't feel it. I'm so fortunate . . . healthy, active and medication free.
