Yes strap. I'm working on that. I left it long so it would have a bit of counterweight to the neck. Turns out that without the box in the way you get a really long neck and it can play pretty well balanced on a knee.
Go, Thomas. That is a cool stick. I think you'll get more good out of it if you put a strap on it.
And OMG the sustain is incredible : )
This is a single piece of heavy gauge 1.5 in square tubing from the local scrap yard.
P bass pick up, tone and volume. Brass nut, bolt bridge.
Just starting a junkyard set I'm doing for an event in September.
