Well it all started in an effect to make a box guitar ring out like my brass bodied resonator. I ordered some cheap resonator cones from Stew Mac $28 plus shipping. I then proceeded to find a cigar box that could accommodate the depth and width. Couldn't find anything so I built my own. The three guitars I have built like this are by far the best sounding gits I have built. The background is my cabin at the lake. I gotta say if you haven't tried a guitar cone you need to. I struggle building a regular CBG now as this sounds so good. I have been trying to antique the best I could with walnut stain and some acrylic paint dry brushed, but I am no Martha Stewart.
